Massive Job Push by Rajasthan Govt: 26,000+ Posts Announced

JAIPUR: In a significant step toward youth empowerment and transparent governance, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has announced the recruitment of over 26,000 government posts across various departments.

This decision aims to create timely employment opportunities and streamline service delivery throughout the state.

Major Focus on Education, Police, and Health Sectors

A large portion of the announced posts belongs to the education sector.

  • The Secondary Education Department will hire 6,500 senior teachers.
  • The Sanskrit Education Department will see recruitment for 2,759 Level-1 and Level-2 teachers.
  • 5,000 Level-1 teacher posts have also been declared for Elementary Education.
  • Additionally, 3,225 professor posts have been opened in higher education.

In the Home Department, 1,015 Sub-Inspector posts will be filled. This includes:

  • 896 SI (AP),
  • 4 SI (AP) Sahariya,
  • 25 SI (AP) Scheduled Area,
  • 26 SI (IB), and
  • 64 Platoon Commanders.

Furthermore, the Home Defense Department will recruit 84 Platoon Commanders.

Opportunities in Agriculture, Energy, Health, and More

The Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Departments will recruit for:

  • 1,100 Agriculture Supervisors,
  • 281 Assistant Engineers (Agriculture), and
  • 1,100 Veterinary Officers.

The Forest Department has advertised 785 posts including Foresters, Forest Guards, and Surveyors.

The Energy Department will fill 2,163 posts, while the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) will add 1,050 new hires.

In the health sector, 1,535 contractual Ayush Officer posts will be filled in the Ayurveda Department.

Employment Festival and Previous Hiring Highlights

At the ‘Cooperation and Employment Festival’ in Dadiya, Jaipur, more than 8,000 youth received appointment letters in a ceremony attended by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.

So far, the Rajasthan government has provided over 75,000 jobs, and a recruitment calendar for 81,000 posts has already been released for 2025.

RPSC Strengthened to Speed Up Hiring

To ensure a faster and more efficient recruitment process, the state government has increased the number of members in the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) from 7 to 10.

Officials stated this initiative reflects the government’s strong intent to deliver good governance, create opportunities, and modernize public service.
