Rajasthan launches two major drinking water projects under Jal Jeevan Mission, benefiting Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Baran districts.
The Rajasthan government has sanctioned two significant drinking water initiatives across four districts of Rajasthan under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The initiatives with an estimated cost of INR 5,184 crore will ensure a consistent supply of drinking water to the districts of Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Baran.
The two initiatives include the Nonera initiative, valued at INR 1,661.14 crore, which will serve 749 villages and 6 towns in Kota and Bundi, impacting a total of 113,287 families. It encompasses the development of water treatment facilities, storage reservoirs, and pipeline networks, in addition to fourteen pumping stations.

The Parwan-Akawad project, approved for INR 3,523.16 crore, will benefit 907 villages in Baran, 184 villages in Kota’s Sangod constituency, and 311 villages in Jhalawar. The project will also encompass water treatment facilities, reservoirs, and a 661 km transmission conduit spanning these regions.
