Rajasthan aims to become an industrial powerhouse by 2047, focusing on renewable energy, employment, and investment-friendly growth.
New Delhi: With an emphasis on renewable energy, the Rajasthani government has developed a plan to turn the desert state into an industrial powerhouse. The government has set a goal of $4.3 trillion for this initiative, which is known as Vision Document 2047.
With the overarching goal of increasing employment, empowering small enterprises, modernizing industries, and making Rajasthan an investment-friendly location, the government has established both short-term and long-term goals in accordance with the vision statement.

“Economic progress must reach people” is emphasized in the paper. This implies that growth won’t be restricted to large cities; small towns, border regions, and rural clusters will all develop into hubs of opportunity. Five industries have been recognized as key growth drivers: mining, tourism, manufacturing, renewable energy, and services. Once renowned for its sand dunes and forts, Rajasthan is currently writing a new tale of economic aspirations and industrial might. State Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant stated, “The Viksit Rajasthan @2047 plan lays down an extraordinary roadmap.”
