Ludhiana : In a landmark development for Punjab’s industrial and environmental progress, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the Tata Steel Ludhiana plant today. The CM highlighted how this state-of-the-art facility is not only a milestone in steel production but also a model for sustainable and eco-friendly industrial practices in India.
During his address, CM Mann emphasized the innovative and green energy initiatives adopted by the plant. “The Tata Steel Ludhiana plant will use electric-powered furnaces instead of coal, significantly reducing pollution and carbon emissions,” he said. Highlighting the social impact of the project, CM Mann said the Tata Steel Ludhiana plant will generate employment for around 2,600 youth, providing meaningful work and supporting families across Punjab. “With this project, Tata Steel will help secure livelihoods and empower young people, steering them away from destructive habits and toward productive futures,” he added.
