Ludhiana : Punjab marked a historic industrial milestone today with the inauguration of the Tata Steel Ludhiana plant, a state-of-the-art facility set to transform the region’s manufacturing landscape. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann presided over the ceremony, expressing his delight at the rapid completion of the project.
Addressing the gathering, CM Mann lauded the remarkable achievement of completing and operationalizing the Tata Steel Ludhiana plant in just two years. He extended his heartfelt thanks to Tata Steel officials and all Punjab administrative authorities who contributed to the project’s successful execution. “This is a shining example of what Punjab can achieve when the government and industry work hand in hand,” he said.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the social and economic benefits of the project. The Tata Steel Ludhiana plant, a ₹3,200 crore investment, is expected to provide employment to approximately 2,600 youth, giving them meaningful work and supporting families across Punjab. “With this project, Tata Steel will help secure livelihoods and empower young people, steering them away from destructive habits and towards productive futures,” CM Mann noted.
