Chandigarh : Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today held a comprehensive discussion with media colleagues regarding the historic achievements of the Punjab health sector and the government’s efforts to enhance public welfare. His remarks underscored the transformative changes that have taken place in healthcare across the state under the Aam Aadmi Party’s leadership.

CM Mann emphasized that in Punjab, healthcare is no longer a privilege limited to a select few but a fundamental right for all citizens. He highlighted that the Punjab health sector now ensures free cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh, giving relief to families facing serious medical emergencies. This initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to make healthcare accessible, equitable, and high-quality for every resident.

The Chief Minister outlined several landmark achievements in the Punjab health sector, including the establishment of over 880 Aam Aadmi Clinics, the provision of free medicines and diagnostic tests, large-scale recruitment of doctors, the creation of new medical colleges, and the strengthening of hospital infrastructure across urban and rural areas. “Where people once wandered from one hospital to another seeking treatment, today the government is bringing healthcare services right to their doorsteps,” CM Mann said, emphasizing the accessibility and citizen-focused approach of the state government.

Punjab Health Sector Focuses on Quality Care and Social Impact

CM Mann also highlighted the social impact of these initiatives, stating that the Punjab health sector is not just expanding in numbers but improving in quality. Modern hospitals, skilled doctors, upgraded facilities, and timely medical services are now available throughout the state, ensuring that every Punjabi has access to the care they deserve. He added, “Our government is fully committed to making Punjabis healthier, more secure, and prosperous through a strong and inclusive healthcare system.”
