Punjab : Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak conducted an important meeting in Gurdaspur, emphasizing timely and efficient wheat procurement under the Punjab Wheat Procurement Plan. The meeting focused on ensuring smooth coordination between transporters, market workers, and contractors during the wheat harvesting season.

Minister Kataruchak called upon contractors working in transport and markets to fulfill their responsibilities promptly. He held a special discussion with transporters from the Majha region, emphasizing that during the wheat procurement season, transport services must be available on time to avoid delays. The Punjab Wheat Procurement Plan relies heavily on such cooperation to ensure farmers’ produce reaches mandis efficiently.

Punjab Wheat Procurement Plan Guarantees MSP Payments Within 24 Hours

He further assured that preparations for wheat procurement across Punjab have been completed. Under the Punjab Wheat Procurement Plan, wheat will be purchased at the prescribed MSP (Minimum Support Price), and payments to farmers’ accounts will be credited within 24 hours of procurement, ensuring timely financial support.

Minister Kataruchak emphasized that the success of the Punjab Wheat Procurement Plan depends on collective efforts from all stakeholders, including government officials, transporters, and market workers, to provide seamless services to farmers.

“The Punjab Wheat Procurement Plan is designed to ensure farmers get fair prices and smooth services during the harvest season. With everyone’s cooperation, this year’s wheat procurement will be highly successful,” he added.
