Punjab NCC sets new benchmark of excellence
Chandigarh : The Punjab Directorate NCC cadets have created history by winning the prestigious All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC) Senior Division Championship for the second consecutive year. After clinching the title in 2024, they repeated their success in 2025, setting a new standard for discipline and determination.
Education and Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains congratulated the cadets for their remarkable achievement. “This back-to-back victory is a testament to the unyielding spirit, grit, and discipline of our NCC cadets,” he said.
He noted that the Punjab Directorate, also known as PHHP&C, overcame stiff competition from 16 directorates across India, including strong contenders like Maharashtra and Karnataka. “They are true trailblazers who have placed Punjab on the national map as a benchmark of excellence,” Bains added.
Cadets show courage beyond competitions
The Education Minister emphasized that this victory is not only about winning trophies but also about showcasing a deeper commitment to the nation. Punjab cadets have actively contributed to real-world emergencies, from supporting Operation Sindoor to assisting civil authorities during flood rescue and relief operations in the state.
“These cadets are champions on the field and saviours in society,” Bains said. He stressed that their actions reflect the NCC ethos of “Discipline and Service Above All”, proving their value to both the military and civil society.
A new era for Punjab’s NCC
The Punjab NCC’s historic victories have positioned the Directorate as a national leader in training, discipline, and leadership. Bains said that the cadets’ consistent performance signals the beginning of an era in which Punjab will stand as a model for the entire country.
He commended not only the cadets but also their instructors and the NCC fraternity, who have worked tirelessly to shape them into disciplined leaders. Their collective effort, he added, ensures that the Directorate will continue to inspire future generations.
“This is not a culmination but the start of a journey that sets Punjab as the benchmark of excellence for the nation,” Bains stated, extending his best wishes to the cadets for future endeavors.
