11 cadets from MRSAFPI SAS Nagar join NDA, INA and premier defence academies; Punjab Govt hails achievement in nurturing young armed forces talent.

The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) in SAS Nagar has added another milestone to its achievements, with 11 cadets securing admission to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other premier defence training institutes over the past month.

Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora stated that this accomplishment highlights the Punjab Government’s commitment, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to nurturing young talent for the armed forces. Since the institute’s inception, a total of 289 cadets have joined various defence training academies.

Congratulating the cadets, Minister Arora wished them success and encouraged them to work hard to become exemplary officers. Among the new entrants, eight cadets have joined the NDA’s 155th Course, including Vishvaroop Singh Grewal and Bhaskar Jain from Ludhiana, Apardeep Singh Sawhney from Patiala, Paramdeep Singh from Pathankot, Rehaan Yadav from Bathinda, Sukhpreet Singh from Sangrur, and Prince Kumar Dubey and Shaurya Vardhan Singh from Jalandhar.

Cadet Gurkirat Singh from Ropar district has joined the Indian Naval Academy’s 117th Course. Additionally, Gurnoor Singh from Bathinda has enrolled in the Cadet Training Wing (CTW) at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, while Akash Singh Kushwaha from Jalandhar joined the CTW at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow, for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES)-54 Course. Notably, Gurnoor Singh secured an All-India rank of 15 in the TES-54 Course.
