Global investors from Japan and Korea pledge ₹1.4 Lakh crore in Punjab; CM Mann to host Progressive Punjab Investor Summit 2026.
Global investors : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently undertook visits to Japan and South Korea. He conducted a press conference during which he discussed his visit. He stated that the visit to the two countries has provided a new impetus to the industrial development of the state. He stated that he had met with prominent figures from the industries of both nations. This tour will represent a significant advancement in establishing Punjab as India’s premier investment destination.
The Chief Minister stated that he envisioned Punjab as a thriving startup, industrial, and technological center on the global stage. Its objective is to enhance investment within the state, expedite industrial output, and generate additional employment opportunities for the youth. According to CM Mann, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Honda, Yamaha, NEC, Fujitsu, Topan Holdings, Ichi Steel, and other prominent corporations have expressed interest in investing and establishing manufacturing facilities in Punjab. Numerous organizations have committed to participating in the Punjab Investment Summit 2026.
Punjab News: Korean corporations have also expressed interest
The Chief Minister stated that the visit to South Korea was also highly successful. Delegates from over 200 companies participated in the investment roadshow held in Seoul and Osaka. Korean companies such as GS ENC, Nongshim, the Korea Display Industry Association, Diveu E&C, Seoul Business Agency, and Sunzin assured Punjab of their cooperation across various sectors.

Punjab: Punjab has allocated substantial funds amounting to several crores.
The Chief Minister stated that Punjab’s red carpet policy offers industries expedited approval processes, transparent governance, and a conducive environment for investment. With the support of the Invest Punjab platform, an investment of ₹1.4 lakh crore has already been secured. He stated that with Japanese technological expertise and Korean industrial capabilities, the collaboration of Punjab’s talent will advance Punjab toward becoming a global center for manufacturing and technology. The Chief Minister has extended an invitation to all companies to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investor Summit, scheduled to take place at ISB Mohali from March 13 to 15, 2026.
The Chief Minister has expressed confidence that this will bolster Punjab’s economic future during the international period. Punjab will establish a global investment hub in the future years.
