Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse incentives worth around ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at a special programme scheduled for June 19, 2026, at 5 PM at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The event marks a key milestone in the rollout of the PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, the government’s flagship employment-linked incentive scheme.
The initiative aims to boost job creation, formalise employment, enhance employability, and expand social security coverage across sectors. So far, the PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana has supported the creation of around 15 lakh employment opportunities across the country.
Focus on Job Creation and Formal Employment
The PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana is designed to encourage both employers and workers to participate in the formal economy. Under the scheme, first-time employees receive incentives of up to ₹15,000 to support their entry into the workforce.

Employers creating additional jobs are eligible for incentives of up to ₹3,000 per month per new employee. The Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana also provides extended support for the manufacturing sector, where incentives are offered for four years, compared to two years for other sectors.
PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana Outlay and Employment Targets
Launched on August 1, 2025, the PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana has a total outlay of ₹99,446 crore. The scheme aims to generate over 3.5 crore jobs in two years, including approximately 1.92 crore first-time job seekers entering the workforce.
The PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana is expected to play a transformative role in expanding formal employment opportunities while strengthening social security coverage for workers.
Government’s Vision for Employment-Linked Growth
The government has stated that the PM-Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana reflects its commitment to employment-led economic growth. By incentivising both employers and employees, the scheme aims to ensure that India’s economic progress translates into quality job creation for the youth.
Officials believe the Viksit Bharat Yojana will help build a stronger, more formalised workforce aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
