Punjab govt set up a 24×7 control room at Chandigarh Airport to help passengers amid the IndiGo crisis, ensuring quick updates, refunds, and grievance redressal.

The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has taken action to ensure that there is no chaos at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport during the present Indigo crisis in the nation by establishing a control room that is open around-the-clock to assist travelers.

“The state government, led by the Chief Minister, has taken this initiative to minimize inconvenience to the passengers,” stated Punjab’s Secretary of Civil Aviation Sonali Giri, who met in-depth with airline firms, CISF, and airport officials to expedite the process.

According to the Secretary of Civil Aviation, the control room has been activated right away in order to assist customers impacted by IndiGo aircraft delays or cancellations, as instructed by CM. According to her, a control room has been established at the Duty Terminal Manager’s office to provide real-time information and support on flight updates, baggage delivery, refunds, and rescheduling.

They can also post their questions on Chial’s official social media accounts, particularly @ixcairport. In a similar vein, she stated that travelers can also contact helpline numbers such as Indigo Airlines’ 92899 38532, Air India’s 8800197833 / 0172-2242201, Air India Express’s 92055 08549, and Alliance Air’s 98184 28648 to resolve their concerns.

According to Sonali Giri, the only goal is to guarantee passenger convenience in the face of continuous IndiGo flight interruptions.
Timely refunds, rescheduling, baggage delivery, adherence to Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) guidelines, and prompt grievance resolution were all prioritized by the Secretary of Civil Aviation.

According to her, Indigo Airlines has about thirty bags and luggage belonging to different passengers, which the airline will send to each passenger’s home at no cost. According to Ms. Sonali Giri, the airline would also ensure that passengers are informed at least ten hours before the flight of the cancelation.
