Employee Welfare Decision Announced

After completion of probation, nurses, constables, and Group C and D employees will now be posted within a 40-kilometre radius of their home district wherever possible. This step is expected to improve work-life balance and reduce long-distance postings for government staff.

Officials said this reform is part of the broader Bhagwant Mann Government approach to improving both recruitment and employee welfare.
Expansion of Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab
The government also highlighted significant progress in the healthcare sector. At present, 990 “Aam Aadmi Clinics” are operational across Punjab, providing accessible healthcare services to citizens.
In addition, 400 new clinics are under construction to further strengthen the state’s healthcare infrastructure. The expansion is also linked to the Bhagwant Mann Government development model, which focuses on health, education, and employment.
