A protest organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Jaipur over alleged examination irregularities turned chaotic on Monday after party founder Abhijeet Dipke was allegedly assaulted during the demonstration at Shaheed Smarak. The incident triggered a tense confrontation between supporters and attackers, prompting police intervention and multiple arrests.
The disruption quickly escalated the situation, turning what was intended to be a peaceful rally into a violent clash, with authorities later detaining five individuals in connection with the incident.
CJP Protest Disrupted After Alleged Assault on Abhijeet Dipke
According to eyewitness accounts, the situation escalated when Abhijeet Dipke was being carried on the shoulders of supporters at the protest site. A group of youths allegedly emerged from the crowd and physically attacked him, repeatedly slapping him.
The sudden attack created panic at the venue, leading to a scuffle between CJP supporters and the accused individuals. The confrontation intensified until police personnel intervened to separate both sides and restore order.
Following the incident, security around Abhijeet Dipke was tightened, and supporters formed a human chain to escort him away from the venue while chanting slogans such as “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
Five Arrested, Police Launch Investigation
Police acted swiftly after the violence and detained five individuals allegedly involved in the assault. Officials identified them as Rohit Sharma (25), Rakesh Gurjar (30), Ajay Sharma (25), Kuldip Singh (27), and Niket (28).

The accused were taken into custody under preventive provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Authorities stated that a detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events and whether further legal action is required.
The incident has now become a key focus of the ongoing investigation into the Jaipur protest violence case, with officials reviewing CCTV footage and eyewitness statements.
Abhijeet Dipke Condemns Attack
After the incident, Abhijeet Dipke strongly condemned the alleged assault, calling it an attempt to suppress voices raising public issues related to examination irregularities and corruption.
He reiterated that his political ideology is rooted in non-violence, drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The CJP had organised the protest demanding accountability over alleged exam paper leaks and systemic corruption in recruitment processes.
Protesters also raised slogans such as “Paper Leak Band Karo” and “Mujhe Desh Se Pyar Hai, Bhrashtachar Asweekar Hai” during the rally.
Accused Statement Sparks Further Controversy
The situation further escalated after one of the arrested individuals, Rakesh Gurjar, made controversial remarks while being escorted by police. His comments, directed at reporters, have added another layer of tension to the Jaipur protest violence case.
Authorities have not yet commented on the statement but confirmed that all aspects of the incident, including motives and possible provocations, are under investigation.
