As part of the state government’s ongoing public grievance redressal initiative aimed at strengthening public dialogue and bringing governance closer to the people, Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Legal Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel attentively listened to the grievances of citizens on Friday at Circuit House, Jodhpur. Taking every issue seriously, he issued on-the-spot instructions to concerned departmental officials for necessary action.

Shri Patel stated clearly that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the current government is committed to a responsible, transparent, and sensitive administration, whose core aim is to deliver relief to the last person in the queue. He emphasized that public hearings are not merely a medium for dialogue, but the foundation of good governance, where citizen participation and trust are paramount.

Strict Accountability Instructions to Officials

Addressing the officials present, Minister Patel asserted that the success of governance is reflected in fair, transparent, and timely resolution of issues. He added that officers are not merely executors of orders but also carriers of governance policies, and their behavior must reflect sensitivity, promptness, and a strong sense of responsibility in service of the people.

Highlighting the importance of public hearings, Shri Patel said that they serve to keep the spirit of democracy alive. Public hearings are a vital bridge of communication between the government and the citizens. They instill public confidence that their concerns are heard, understood, and acted upon. He also mentioned the state government’s intention to ensure that essential services like healthcare, education, water, electricity, roads, social security, and revenue are easily accessible to every citizen.

During the program, numerous complaints were received related to departments such as Higher Education, Panchayati Raj, Medical and Health, Revenue, PWD, Electricity Distribution, Urban Governance, and Drinking Water. Minister Shri Patel personally heard each case, understood the ground realities, and issued immediate instructions to officials to resolve the matters fairly, promptly, and to the satisfaction of the public.
