Madhya Pradesh Cabinet under CM Mohan Yadav approves ₹2,508 Cr Badwah–Dhamnod road, Saksham Anganwadi, Poshan 2.0, and weather monitoring schemes.
Under Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav leadership, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet at the Mantralaya and approved ₹2,508.21 crore in administrative approval for the purchase, construction, and improvement of a 62.795-kilometer Badwah–Dhamnod four-lane road with paved shoulders using the Hybrid Annuity Model. Ten bypasses, five major bridges, twenty-three medium bridges, twelve VUP/SVUP structures, seven major junctions, and fifty-six medium junctions will all be built as part of the project.
Under the Hybrid Annuity Model, Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation will get forty percent of the construction cost, including GST, from the State Highway Fund. Over the course of the operation term, the remaining 60% will come from the state budget in the form of half-yearly annuity payments spread over 15 years.
Approval for Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 Schemes and Programs to Continue for the Next Five Years
According to the guidelines issued by the Indian government, the Cabinet approved the continuation of programs and projects under “Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0” for the following five years, from 2026–2027 to 2030–2031, during the 16th Finance Commission. The Supplementary Nutrition Program, pre-school education, the construction of Anganwadi structures, such as Saksham Anganwadis, Poshan Abhiyaan, the Scheme for Adolescent Girls, training of Anganwadi personnel, and other associated elements are all included in this umbrella program. In all 55 districts of the state, the program is being carried out through 97,882 Anganwadi centers under 453 Child Development Projects.

Approval of ₹197.13 Crore for Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur’s Phase-II Building Construction
For the development of the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University’s Phase-II buildings in Jabalpur, the Cabinet authorized ₹197.13 crore. The second phase will include the construction of an Administration Block, an Academic Block, the Registrar’s and Vice-Chancellor’s official homes, twelve multi-story staff quarters, the campus border wall, and other related projects. There are now 720 students enrolled in the university’s 1,272 approved seats in the BA LLB (Hons), LLB (Hons), and PhD programs.
Approval of ₹434.58 Crore for Automated Rain Gauges at Gram Panchayat Level and Automated Weather Stations at Tehsil Level
The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana’s WINDS (Weather Information Network and Data System) program was authorized by the Cabinet. With a financial sanction of ₹434.58 crore, the clearance calls for the installation of automatic rain gauges at the gram panchayat level and automatic weather stations at the tehsil level. The Government of India will get high-quality meteorological data on a single digital platform, and the WINDS program will supply weather-based data to facilitate the quicker implementation of the crop insurance system in the interest of farmers. This five-year program is expected to cost ₹434.58 crore.
