Governor Mangubhai Patel Visits Bhagwan Birsa Munda Tribal University, Promotes Tribal Education and Culture

Gujarat Governor Mangubhai Patel visits Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, highlighting tribal education, culture, and ‘Ek Ped – Maa Ke Naam’ initiative.

Governor Mangubhai Patel paid a visit to Bhagwan Birsa Munda Tribal University, which is situated in Rajpipla, Gujarat’s Narmada district. He bowed in respect and offered flowers to the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on the university grounds. Dr. Darshana Ben Vasava, a local MLA, was also in attendance on this particular occasion.

According to Governor Shri Patel, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s goal of preserving and advancing tribal culture is embodied by Birsa Munda University. The governor examined the university residence hall and the student housing options while he was there. He also spoke with the management about the organization of the university and its plans for future growth.

Governor Shri Patel planted a sapling on the university campus as a part of the “Ek Ped – Maa Ke Naam” campaign. When he arrived, a customary welcome was given to him.

The Governor was briefed by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Madhukar Padvi on the university’s commitment to the development, protection, and advancement of tribal literature, language, medicine, arts, and history. According to him, the institution wants to make sure that via education, tribal customs and knowledge systems make a significant contribution to the larger societal renaissance.

According to Dr. Padvi, the university intends to launch undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, vocational, and doctoral programs in fields like education, science, law, commerce, humanities, tribal traditional arts, crafts, and skill-based studies.

The Birsa Munda Tribal University was founded in 2017 with the goal of creating cutting-edge and revolutionary research and educational initiatives, with a special emphasis on the tribal people of Gujarat and other developing nations. By offering educational possibilities in technology, skill-based learning, vocational and management studies, tourism, tribal art and culture, traditional value systems, and allied topics, the university hopes to hasten the development of tribal territories.

In order to further knowledge and technologies pertaining to tribal art, culture, traditions, language, medicine, customs, and forest-based practices, the institution also provides teaching and research facilities.
