Uttarakhand teen Sachin Kumar, 16, climbs Mount Everest with NCC team; CM Pushkar Singh Dhami hails his bravery and inspires youth nationwide.
The world’s tallest peak, Mount Everest, was recently climbed by 16-year-old mountaineer Sachin Kumar, who garnered headlines. Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, welcomed him and praised his outstanding achievement.

Such an accomplishment at Kumar’s age, according to the Chief Minister, is an incredible demonstration of bravery, tenacity, and diligence. He went on to say that Kumar’s accomplishments inspire young people all around India in addition to drawing attention to his family and the state.

The All India NCC expedition team that reached the summit on May 18, 2025, included Kumar, who is from Uttarkashi. Kumar thanked CM Dhami in return and pledged to keep aiming for greatness and to further elevate his state and nation.
