MP CM Dr. Mohan Yadav launches 57 mobile forensic vans to speed up crime scene investigations and boost public trust in security.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the launch of mobile forensic vans from Police Headquarters in Bhopal to improve criminal investigation, evidence gathering, and scientific research in the state. He claimed that mobile forensic vans will be very useful in Madhya Pradesh’s numerous districts for crime scene investigations. The police department’s effort, spearheaded by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, will encourage forensic-based, rapid, and accurate investigations, resulting in increased conviction rates, speedier criminal detection, and increased public trust in security.

In all, the Madhya Pradesh Police are receiving 57 mobile forensic vans. 94 lakh 17 thousand 969 rupees is the total cost of these trucks. It is the sum that the Central Government has supplied. 14 mobile forensic vans have been reported off of these since they were received on December 16, 2025. Districts will soon be able to access the remaining mobile forensic vehicles.
Stereo microscopes, weighing scales, DSLR cameras, tiny refrigerators, LED TV screens, thermal printers, body-worn cameras, and other cutting-edge technology are all included in the mobile forensic vans. The vans also come with kits for investigating crimes, protecting crime scenes, identifying fingerprints, blood, and hair, high intensity forensic light sources, tyre mark and footprint kits, arson investigation kits, evidence packing kits, kits for detecting bullet holes and gunshot residue, kits for detecting drugs and explosives, and kits for collecting DNA and chain of custody.
