CM Mohan Yadav Opens Elevator for Divyang Visitors at Khajuraho UNESCO Site

CM Mohan Yadav inspected Khajuraho’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, launched a new elevator for divyang visitors, and inaugurated a traditional arts Gurukul at Adivart Museum.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho, following a review of various departmental activities on Monday. He observed the ‘Light & Sound’ Show. The Chief Minister formally inaugurated the elevator installation constructed within the temple complex to enhance accessibility for ‘divyang’ visitors.

Through the Light & Sound Show, the illustrious history of the Chandela dynasty, the internationally renowned Khajuraho temples, and the vibrant folk culture of Bundelkhand were conveyed in an engaging and compelling manner.

Expressing appreciation for the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that such initiatives are instrumental in safeguarding Bundelkhand’s art and culture while simultaneously fostering tourism.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Shri Lakhan Singh Patel, along with other ministers and public representatives, attended the event.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Visits Adivart Museum

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a visit to the Cultural Village and the State Tribal Folk Art Museum, ‘Adivart’, located in Khajuraho. On this occasion, artist collectives from Alirajpur and Dindori performed captivating traditional folk dances, namely ‘Bhagoria’ and ‘Gudumbaja’.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly established Gurukul dedicated to traditional arts at the Adivart Museum, Khajuraho. The museum displays tribal folk arts and commonplace traditional artefacts, emphasizing the rich cultural heritage and customs of tribal communities.
