Bhai Dooj, according to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, is the embodiment of Indian culture. The holy love and close relationship between brothers and sisters are symbolized by this holiday. It upholds the moral obligation of brothers to defend and honor their sisters throughout their lives and reinforces family values. Bhai Dooj, according to Dr. Yadav, is a celebration of sibling love as well as social cohesion, women’s dignity, and the upholding of family values.

During a special Bhai Dooj (Bhatru Dwitiya / Yama Dwitiya) ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday, the Chief Minister was speaking to sisters.

The Chief Minister greeted Bhai Dooj with much affection and engaged with the women during the function. “It is my good fortune that I have more than 1.26 crore sisters in the form of Ladli Behnas,” Dr. Yadav stated, outlining the government’s accomplishments and priorities. Their lives are becoming happier and brighter because of us. He said, “There is no shortage of funds in the government treasury for our sisters,” and that all Ladli Behnas will henceforth receive ₹1,500 per month.

According to Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is the first state where sisters celebrate Raksha Bandhan and Bhai Dooj every month through the Ladli Behna Yojana, describing women as the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati, and Parvati. “This plan is a surefire way to achieve success. In trying times, it has provided women with financial security and self-assurance,” he remarked.

The state government has so far disbursed around ₹45,000 crore in 29 payments under the Ladli Behna Yojana. The Chief Minister went on to say, “The real wealth of Madhya Pradesh and my government is the smiles of our sisters.”

A heartfelt celebration at CM’s house

Dr. Yadav gave the sisters flower petals on this particular occasion and wished them a happy Bhai Dooj. As a sign of respect, women from all around the state tied safas, put tilak on his forehead, and presented him with coconuts. The sisters received gifts and candies from the Chief Minister.

Traditional Nimari folk songs and dances were performed at the ceremony, honoring the warmth and love of sibling ties. The Chief Minister was blessed by the Ladli Behnas, who also wished him good health and a long life, as well as prosperity for the state.

“The blessings of our sisters are what give us the confidence to work fearlessly,” CM Dr. Yadav stated. They now call the CM house their home. Sisters have big, compassionate hearts that bind families together. They are regarded as Jagadamba and Lakshmi in Sanatan tradition. He recalled the bravery of female warriors like Rani Durgavati, Rani Lakshmibai, and Rani Avantibai Lodhi, stating that Madhya Pradesh’s women are still motivated by their bravery.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the spiritual bond between Lord Krishna and his sister Subhadra, saying that legends like this, which stand for unending love and protection, are the source of inspiration for Bhai Dooj. He announced new incentives under the government’s employment-oriented program, including a 2% interest rebate for people launching their own businesses and an additional ₹5,000 for women working in industry. Concessions will also be granted to women who register homes, businesses, or other property in their names. “Our sisters ought to start their own businesses and become successful,” he said.

The dedication of the state government and PM Modi’s direction

CM Dr. Yadav thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that thousands of women in Madhya Pradesh have been given free housing and are gaining economic independence thanks to his leadership. “Since the CM’s house is their maika (maternal home), it will always be available to sisters.” This house has been blessed today by hundreds of sisters. I hope happiness fills every home in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav underlined that the foundation of government policy is women’s safety, dignity, education, and independence. Women’s living standards have significantly increased thanks to programs like Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana, Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Ladli Behna Yojana, and Women Self-Help Group Empowerment Programs. He mentioned the work being done by Minister Sampatiya Uikey on the Jal Jeevan Mission, which intends to provide tap water to every village home.

A secure and empowering setting for women in the workforce

According to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the government is making sure that women can work safely day or night. In order to hold businesses accountable for women’s safety, labor regulations have been modified. In industrial regions, the government is also constructing Working Women’s Shelters and Hostels. Interestingly, women lead 47% of Madhya Pradesh’s companies. “We have enough money for our sisters. Madhya Pradesh would be rich if its ladies are healthy and content,” he said.

“No civilization in the world gives women the honor that Sanatan Indian culture gives,” CM Dr. Yadav stated. The festival of Bhai Dooj honors a brother’s obligation and a sister’s blessing. In addition to maintaining this custom, Madhya Pradesh is leveraging it to its advantage. The monthly payout for the Ladli Behna Yojana will increase from ₹1,250 to ₹1,500 as it enters a new phase. He claimed that the additional ₹250 will give the sisters new hope and courage. Crores of rupees have been deposited straight into the accounts of recipients since June 2023. He told heartwarming tales about how the Ladli Behnas used the money they received to maintain their families and educate their children. Some women used the money to create small food companies or dairy farms, while others purchased sewing or photocopying equipment. With pride, he stated, “Our sisters are now becoming the economic backbone of their homes.”

Changing lives via various assistance programs

According to CM Dr. Yadav, every home may experience success and happiness when women are respected and empowered. Madhya Pradesh has set an example for the country in the last year and a half by taking extraordinary measures to empower women. More than 51 lakh daughters have been registered under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana, which provides financial aid for their schooling. While Janani Suraksha and PM Matru Vandana Yojana provide maternal care, the Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana has facilitated the marriages of impoverished daughters. Women will be more empowered in all areas of life by the recently created Devi Ahilya Nari Shakti Mission.

Ladli Behna beneficiaries thanked the Chief Minister from the bottom of their hearts during the event. Smt. Pinky Jain revealed how the scheme helped her launch a papad-making company. Smt. Sangeeta thanked Dr. Yadav as their “brother” and stated that the program strengthened women’s financial position.

Self-Sufficiency for Ladli Behnas: Minister Nirmala Bhuria

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is being blessed by all Madhya Pradesh females on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, according to Women and Child Development Minister Nirmala Bhuria. Rural women are increasingly starting their own companies and covering their children’s tuition thanks to the Ladli Behna Yojana.

According to her, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is constantly keen to launch fresh initiatives that will help women become financially independent.
