Haryana plans a PPP to build India’s most advanced bus terminal in Gurugram’s Cyber City, attracting investors and boosting the city’s status

The Haryana government has revealed intentions to use a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) approach to build the nation’s most cutting-edge bus terminal in Cyber City, Gurugram. The terminal will have top-notch amenities appropriate for Cyber City’s international standing.

The city, which is home to multinational offices and people from all over the world, needs first-rate infrastructure, Minister for Transport, Power, Labour and Employment Anil Vij told Dainik Jagran during his visit to their office on Sunday. “Cyber City is become the world’s most popular destination for investors. Its prestige on a global scale must be reflected in its infrastructure,” he stated.

To ascertain the amenities provided by other bus terminals constructed using a PPP model around India, the government is presently gathering data on them. After all the data is collected, construction on the new terminal will start.

Sihi village, close to the Dwarka Expressway, has enough space for the project. To guarantee that there is no public annoyance in the interim, directives have been given to continue providing necessary services at the current bus stop.

Under the PPP approach, Minister Vij emphasized that stringent rules will be implemented to guarantee ongoing government supervision of the facility even after construction is complete. After construction, businesses frequently act haphazardly and disregard public concerns. The government will also receive a share of the profits,” he continued.

The city’s electricity infrastructure is being strengthened in addition to transportation enhancements. Projects to install underground electrical lines are moving quickly in the majority of Cyber City and Manesar. Although sporadic outages might still happen during periods of intense rain or storms, the measure is anticipated to decrease faults. Similar projects are planned for Sonipat and Jhajjar after those in Gurugram and Manesar are finished.

After a gas pipeline fire two months ago that caused multiple feeders to be affected, Vij also ordered the relocation of power wires that were crossing gas pipes in Gurugram. He gave residents the assurance that most of the issues with power bills have been fixed, and that staff have been directed to address complaints in a fast and permanent manner without making them run around.
