UP Revenue Board is launching a digital dashboard for Revenue Inspectors to streamline services like income, caste, and residence certificates, reducing delays.
A dashboard for Revenue Inspectors is currently being developed by the Board of Revenue in UP, after the one for Lekhpals (village accountants). By next month, the Board hopes to have this facility operational in order to streamline revenue-related tasks and lessen the need for officials to handle physical files.
The Uttar Pradesh Revenue Board developed a digital dashboard for Lekhpal (local revenue officers) and has started working on a system for Revenue Inspectors. Inspectors will do revenue-related activities online once they are implemented, removing the need for citizens to attend tehsil offices for caste, income, and residency certifications, among other services.
By next month, the Board hopes to open the new facility. Currently, delays persist because of insufficient digitization, even though a 45-day period has been set for the delivery of citizen services.
In order to tackle this issue, Board Chairman Anil Kumar recently introduced the Lekhpal dashboard, which enables online handling of procedures under sections 34, 80, 89, and 98 as well as income, caste, and residency certifications.
Revenue Inspectors must also accept Lekhpals’ approvals, therefore the new dashboard will let them examine and approve applications electronically. In addition to ensuring accountability and expediting service delivery, officials claimed the transition will spare cops from handling physical files and allow citizens to approve requests with a simple click.
