Nayab Singh Saini expresses condolences after Jhajjar bus accident; announces Rs. 2.50 lakh aid for deceased student’s family and support for injured.
Haryana Chief Minister, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, conveyed his profound condolences regarding the regrettable bus accident that transpired today in Kaliawas village, Jhajjar district. In expressing his wishes for the swift recovery of the injured children, he extended his sincere condolences to the family of the student who passed away. The Chief Minister conveyed the government’s steadfast support for the bereaved family during this challenging period and affirmed that all available resources would be extended by the government.
This morning, a private school bus originating from Dadri transported students to Pratapgarh in Jhajjar, whereas a Haryana Roadways bus traveling from Jhajjar to Dadri traversed Behror. During this period, both vehicles were involved in an accident within the vicinity of Kaliawas village. In the incident, one adolescent sustained fatal injuries at the scene, and an additional thirty-one individuals were injured. The injured parties comprised several minors, in addition to the bus driver, the conductor, and the teachers. All injured individuals were admitted to both the local Civil Hospital and private hospitals. Among the individuals, twenty-three received and were released following initial medical attention, whereas treatment continues for eight injured persons. The school bus driver has been referred to a tertiary medical facility.

The Chief Minister authorized immediate financial aid amounting to Rs. 2.50 lakh for the family of the deceased pupil. Additionally, he sanctioned Rs. 50,000 in immediate financial aid for each of the eight injured individuals, in conjunction with complimentary medical care and the restitution of medical costs.
The Chief Minister additionally affirmed that all Haryana State Transport buses are insured, thereby providing passengers with access to insurance benefits in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. He instructed the relevant officials to facilitate the expeditious processing of insurance claims, thereby ensuring timely aid to the affected families.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to guarantee appropriate medical care for the injured and requested that the district administration continuously monitor the situation. The public is urged to exercise extreme caution when traveling in foggy conditions.
