Labour Minister Anil Vij announces completion of Ambala Cantt ESIC hospital, providing modern facilities and round-the-clock care to employees.
The Labour Minister of Haryana, Sh. Anil Vij declared today that the construction of a brand-new, 100-bed ESIC hospital in Ambala Cantonment is now complete. He claimed that by providing cutting-edge, easily accessible healthcare services near their homes, this hospital will act as a lifeline for covered employees and their dependent families.
Giving specifics, Sh. According to Vij, by December 16, 2025, the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) must issue the official land allocation letter (offer letter) for the proposed site in Sector-33 (Part-1), Ambala Cantt, along with the finalized cost. After it is issued, ESIC will finish the payment procedure and begin building as soon as possible.

According to the Minister, the industrial zone that borders Sector-33 and the Saha area employs thousands of people. This hospital will provide direct health care benefits to all insured employees and their dependents. He referred to the project as a significant accomplishment for the Ambala Cantonment and the surrounding areas. In order to forward the project, he added, he has been personally working closely with the Central Government and relevant departments. He went on to say that the facility represents a significant turning point in providing the insured population of Ambala with better, faster, and patient-centered healthcare services.
High-Tech Medical Facilities Will Be Offered

According to Vij, the hospital will have advanced diagnostic and pathology labs, outpatient, inpatient, and childcare facilities, as well as major medical departments and emergency services like medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopaedics, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, psychiatry, and round-the-clock emergency and trauma care. According to him, the objective is to ensure that insured people obtain the right care as soon as possible and without incurring any costs.

“My top priority has always been to ensure that the residents of Ambala Cantonment do not suffer from a lack of medical facilities,” the Minister stated. No employee should be left to fend for themselves while seeking medical attention. Both the general public and the working class will benefit from this facility.
Sh. Additionally, Vij clarified that the issue was recently discussed at a high-level meeting at the Chief Secretary’s office, which was presided over by the Secretary of DPIIT, Government of India. During the meeting, pending projects posted on the PMG (Project Monitoring Group) portal were evaluated. The Central and State Governments’ strong commitment to bolstering healthcare infrastructure is demonstrated by the meeting’s prioritization of the ESIC hospital project.
