Election Commission of India asks citizens to improve ECINet App functionality with feedback before its January 2026 official launch.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended an invitation to all citizens to download the ECINet app and use the ‘Submit a Suggestion’ page to provide suggestions for how to make the app better. This can be completed between November 27, 2025, and December 27, 2025.
According to an ECI spokeswoman, the ECINet App’s trial version was used for both the current bye-elections and the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections. Better voter services, faster access to polling percentage trends, and the release of Index Cards within 72 hours of the polls closing—a process that traditionally took weeks or months—were all made possible by this new platform. To further improve the platform’s operation, lessons learned from the Bihar elections as well as input from field officials, observers, CEOs, DEOs, and EROs are being included.

The platform will be further upgraded to make it more user-friendly when the user recommendations are reviewed. The ECINet platform is scheduled to formally launch in January 2026.
Under the direction of Chief Election Commissioner Sh. Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi, the Commission launched ECINet, one of its major initiatives, with the goal of using technology to improve voter convenience and increase electoral transparency. Following its announcement on May 4, 2025, work on developing the ECINet App began.
The Voter Helpline App (VHA), cVIGIL, Saksham, Polling Trends (Voter Turnout app), and Know Your Candidate (KYC) App are just a few of the 40 distinct election-related apps and websites that have been combined into one interface to create the ECINET App. The app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
