Chandigarh: A high-level review meeting was held in Chandigarh on the schemes of the Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry departments under the Haryana Vision 2047 action plan, focusing on transforming the state’s agricultural sector into a modern, farmer-centric and sustainable system.

The discussions were held under the broader goal of achieving “Developed Haryana,” with emphasis on natural farming, zero-budget farming and adoption of advanced agricultural technologies.

Haryana Vision 2047 Focus on Natural Farming

Under the Haryana Vision 2047, the government has planned a major push to encourage farmers to adopt natural farming practices over the next five years. Officials discussed strategies to reduce chemical dependency and promote sustainable agricultural methods.

The initiative aims to improve soil health, reduce farming costs, and ensure long-term productivity for farmers across the state.
