Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini leads SBWL meeting, approves wildlife conservation programs, habitat projects, ecotourism, and biodiversity protection.

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini presided over the eighth meeting of the State Board for Wildlife (SBWL). A number of significant initiatives aimed at bolstering animal conservation and improving protection measures around the state were adopted at the conference.

The Chief Minister oversaw the meeting and instructed officials to give particular attention to strengthening wildlife conservation and making sure that strong security measures are in place to safeguard and maintain the state’s wildlife. MLAs Sh. Randhir Panihar and Sh. Tejpal Tanwar were also present, as was Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh.

In order to protect Haryana’s abundant biodiversity, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of promptly implementing conservation-related programs and expressed gratitude for the department’s continued efforts.

A comprehensive overview of the department’s operations and advancements was provided, including conservation programs, habitat enhancement projects, wildlife protection strategies, ecotourism promotion, lowering human-animal conflict, and research-based habitat management.

The Saraswati Conservation Reserve’s foundation stone for a waterbody, biodiversity park, and ecotourism center was laid in August, the conference was informed. at November, the Safari Gate and Kalesar Safari were inaugurated, and a forest named after Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was created at Kalesar National Park. Additionally, during the fiscal year 2025–2026, about 3 lakh seedlings were planted.

The meeting was also attended by Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Department; Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister; and other top officials.
