Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini emphasizes public and legislator suggestions in 2026–27 budget; AI-based portal receives over 9,000 inputs for Vision 2047.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that all suggestions received from the public and legislators will be carefully considered in preparing the 2026–27 budget, aiming to instill trust and hope among every citizen. He emphasized that Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence will play a key role in the budget formulation. Since the launch of the AI-based pre-budget consultation app on January 6, over 9,000 suggestions have been submitted, many of which will be incorporated into the budget, as was done last year.
The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing a pre-budget consultation meeting with ministers, MPs, and MLAs on the Haryana Vision 2047 Action Plan in Panchkula on Tuesday. During the session, MPs, MLAs, and ministers shared detailed suggestions for the upcoming budget.
Saini noted that citizens can submit suggestions through the portal until January 31, and all inputs will be given due consideration. Pre-budget consultation meetings began on January 6, 2026, in Gurugram, and the final phase has now concluded. So far, 12 meetings have been held, engaging around 1,597 stakeholders from sectors including industry, education, health, agriculture, women’s groups, youth, sarpanches, councillors, and various organizations, yielding 1,513 suggestions.

The Chief Minister stressed that this budget will belong to the 2.80 crore people of Haryana, reflecting their aspirations rather than just numbers. It is intended to serve as a bridge between present needs and future ambitions.
He added that under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, with support from public representatives and the trust of citizens, the vision of Viksit Bharat–Viksit Haryana 2047 will be achieved.
Saini highlighted that governance in Haryana has become more transparent over the past 11 years through e-governance, Direct Benefit Transfer, and technology-based monitoring. He criticized opposition leaders for questioning the state’s financial condition, stating that their remarks were driven by apprehension rather than facts. The Chief Minister also noted that opposition leaders did not attend the pre-budget meetings, missing an opportunity to provide constructive input. Last year, 1,592 suggestions were received during pre-budget consultations, of which 706 were incorporated into the budget.
The Chief Minister stated that the upcoming budget will focus on increasing farmers’ income, promoting profitable agriculture, water conservation, and natural farming. It will also create opportunities for agriculture-based industries, align with the aspirations of youth by providing employment opportunities, and emphasize women’s empowerment. Additionally, the government will ensure that benefits of schemes reach the poor, deprived, backward, and last person in the queue with full transparency.
