Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini praises MSP rise for sugarcane and crops, boosting farmers’ income and ensuring timely payments under govt schemes.

The Central and State Governments, led by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, are consistently working in the best interests of farmers, according to Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini. Every effort is being made to increase farmers’ income, whether that means raising the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for sugarcane or for crops like wheat and paddy.

At his home, Sant Kabir Kutir, here today, the Chief Minister was engaging with farmers. Numerous farmers from Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, and other districts met with the chief minister to thank him for the Diwali-related rise in sugarcane MSP.

The farmers expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for the increase in MSP, saying that the surprise Diwali announcement was the greatest gift they could have received.

According to the Chief Minister, the State Government has increased the price of early-variety sugarcane from Rs400 to Rs415 per quintal and the price of late-variety sugarcane from Rs393 to Rs408 per quintal in an effort to increase farmers’ income. According to him, the rise in sugarcane MSP improves farmers’ financial circumstances while also recognizing their diligence and hard work.

The chief minister went on to say that the Haryana government’s move will help farmers and give the state’s agricultural economy a boost. He went on to say that the government is totally dedicated to the welfare of farmers and hopes to improve their standard of living by providing the highest sugarcane support price in the nation.

Additionally, he emphasized that Haryana is the first state in the nation to purchase all crops at MSP, with farmers receiving money within 48 hours of the purchase. Over the previous 11 procurement seasons, 12 lakh farmers have received direct benefit transfers of Rs 1.58 lakh crore in agricultural procurement payments using the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” platform.

He went on to say that Haryana was the first state to introduce the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana, which has resulted in 29,864 farmers receiving direct bank deposits of Rs 135.37 crore in incentives encompassing 21 fruits and vegetables.

The compensation sum for crops destroyed by natural catastrophes or severe rains has been raised to Rs 15,000 per acre, the Chief Minister announced. Furthermore, 33 lakh farmers have received payments under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana totaling Rs 9626 crore. In addition, farmers have already received compensation of Rs 15627 crore for crop losses brought on by natural disasters during the previous 11 years.

The Chief Minister also asked farmers for their opinions on the paddy and other crop procurement system in Mandais during the meeting, promising to immediately fix any issues. Farmers who attended the conference said they were happy with the state government’s mandi system and that they had no trouble selling their produce.

Pehowa Tarun Warriach, the chairman of the market committee, Ramgopal Rana from Yamunanagar, Madan Rana from Jalbehera, Sarpanch Rajkumar from Vyaspur, Sarpanch Balwinder Singh, Jagjit Singh, and Nambardar Gian Singh, as well as numerous farmers, were also in attendance.
