Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini highlights how educating daughters boosts families, communities, and the nation during Seth Navrang Rai Lohia Jairam Girls College’s 25th jubilee.

CM Nayab Singh Saini, emphasized that education is what really makes a country and community strong. When daughters go to school, the whole family, community, and country progress forward. This is the goal of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” initiative. He went on to say that schools like Seth Navrang Rai Lohia Jairam Girls College are helping to make the Prime Minister’s goal a reality.

The Chief Minister was the main guest at the silver jubilee celebration of Seth Navrang Rai Lohia Jairam Girls College at Lohar Majra, Kurukshetra. He lit the usual lamp to start the show earlier. The Chief Minister and other important people gave out a keepsake that showed the 25-year history of the Jairam Educational Institutions. Pujya Brahmaswaroop Brahmachari Maharaj, the head of the Jairam Educational Institutions, gave the Chief Minister a shawl and a gift to show his appreciation. The Chief Minister also gave the school a donation of Rs. 21 lakh during the program.

The Chief Minister added that the institution has been a place of learning for the last 25 years, helping girls from rural areas get an education and become stronger. The 25-year history of this school is more than just a statistic; it’s a story of hard work, devotion, and accomplishment. He added that the late Mohan Lal Lohia started this college in commemoration of his father, the late Pujya Devender Swaroop Brahmachari. People in communities didn’t know much about females’ education back then. This college is now the starting point for a bright future for thousands of girls from adjacent rural areas.

Not only have the students at this college done well in school, but they have also done well in athletics, cultural activities, social service, and research. The girls who went to school here are now creating a name for themselves in their own countries and around the world. Seth Navrang Rai Lohia Jairam Girls College and other similar institutions are what make Haryana what it is today. They help make the state more developed and forward-thinking.

In 11 years, the government built 80 new institutions, 30 of which were for girls.

The Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, said that the government has made sure that there is a college within 20 kilometers of every girl so that distance doesn’t keep them from getting a higher education. In the last 11 years, the state has opened 80 new government institutions, 30 of which are only for girls. The government pays for girls’ travel up to 150 kilometers in Haryana Roadways buses to make it easier for them to get to school. In the state, there are 29 government-run women ITIs that help girls learn technical skills. Each girl student gets a monthly stipend of Rs. 500. He further said that Haryana was the first state to put the National Education Policy into action.

33% reservation for women in postgraduate teacher recruitment

The Chief Minister further added that the government gives free education to girls from households with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.8 lakh to make sure that poverty doesn’t get in the way of their education. Also, women have been given a 33% reservation in the hiring of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT). He stated that Haryana, which used to have a low sex ratio, has not only gotten rid of this stigma but has also set an example for other states. The Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign has helped Haryana’s birth sex ratio go from 871 in 2014 to 909 now.

He went on to say that girls do better than boys in practically every test. Girls have done quite well in a lot of different fields, such administration, the police, the military, research, and space. Their chances of getting into different admission exams keep going up. Girls are doing well in every profession, from politics, writing, sports, movies, fashion, music, and literature to business, medical, social work, and the law. This shows that daughters are not a burden but a strength to society.

The program also had the presence of various important people, such as Pujya Brahmaswaroop Brahmachari Maharaj, the Chairman of Jairam Educational Institutions, Sh. Subhash Sudha, the former Minister, Sh. Dharmveer Mirzapur, and others.
