The Cow welfare scheme in Kurukshetra was highlighted during a major programme held at the sacred city of Kurukshetra, where Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attended the Goshala Fodder Grant Distribution Ceremony and described it as a matter of pride and cultural significance.

Under the Cow welfare scheme in Kurukshetra, the Chief Minister announced the distribution of ₹70 lakh 24 thousand as fodder grant to 11 goshalas in the Ladwa and Thanesar constituencies. He said the initiative reflects the government’s strong commitment to cow protection and rural service.

The Cow welfare scheme in Kurukshetra also includes a massive statewide allocation of ₹228 crore 58 lakh for 619 goshalas in the financial year 2025–26. CM Saini emphasized that this support ensures proper care, nutrition, and protection of cows across Haryana.

He further highlighted that the government has implemented the strict Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Act, 2015 to safeguard cattle and promote structured cow conservation efforts. The Cow welfare scheme in Kurukshetra is part of this larger vision of sustainable animal welfare.
