CM Nayab Singh Saini honors the 350th martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Sahibzadas, highlighting sacrifice, service, and the legacy of faith during the Shaheedi Samagam.

CM Nayab Singh Saini paid floral tributes to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and attended a spectacular “Shaheedi Samagam” at Gurdwara Sahib Gobindpura, Bhamboli, in Yamunanagar as the Chief Guest on the anniversary of his 350th martyrdom year.

Speaking to the assembly, the chief minister expressed his delight and respect for being with the sangat on this hallowed ground. He claimed that everyone had assembled to bow before a magnificent heritage that had not only preserved India’s uniqueness but also demonstrated to humanity the ultimate sacrifice for faith and truth. According to him, the Shaheedi Samagam honors the great sacrifices made by Mata Gujri Ji and the four Sahibzadas, as well as the 350th anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom. He went on to say that the flow of Gurbani through distinguished kirtani “jathas” and “kathavachaks” will inspire the younger generation with the valiant Sahibzadas’ and Gurus’ sacrifices in addition to spiritually uplifting the sangat.

The Chief Minister announced a Rs 31 lakh gift for the Gurdwara Trust on the occasion. The Gurdwara Trust presented the Chief Minister with a sword, a siropa, and a picture of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.According to the Chief Minister, a sizable blood donation camp was set up for the “samagam,” reflecting the Gurus’ teaching that the greatest kind of worship is service to others. He praised the young people who volunteered to give blood, saying that it may save lives. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation to Baba Jasdeep Singh and the organizers for a job well done on the samagam.

According to him, the greatest sacrifice in global history is the martyrdom of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family. He recalled how the words “Nikkiya Jinda Vadda Saka” naturally flow from one’s mouth whenever one thinks about the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, who were only 6 and 9 years old.

According to the Chief Minister, there has never been a situation in history where defenseless youngsters have accepted being bricked alive in order to defend their beliefs but have refused to submit. He claimed that all of the Guru’s family members gave their life in a single week, from December 20 to December 27, 1704, for the defense of mankind and faith. This week will always be remembered in history. He claimed that this sacrifice demonstrates that bravery is independent of age. He emphasized how Mata Gujri Ji became an enduring source of inspiration for mothers and sisters even now by instilling unwavering trust in her grandsons despite the harsh conditions of captivity.

He also recalled how Baba Ajit Singh Ji, who was just 17 years old, and Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, who was 15 years old, bravely opposed the Mughal army and were martyred at the Battle of Chamkaur Sahib.

He claimed that future generations would be motivated to be patriotic by the Sahibzadas’ sacrifices. In light of this, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi made the decision to mark the Sahibzadas’ martyrdom day annually as Veer Bal Diwas, which is celebrated with great reverence on December 26 throughout the nation. He claimed that one is more motivated to make the biggest sacrifices for the good of the country the more they read, hear, and comprehend the tale of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family’s sacrifices.

He pointed out that every year from December 20 to 27, Shaheedi Jor Melas are held not only in Punjab but also all over the nation and beyond. Devotees honor the martyrs by sleeping on the ground at special festivities hosted at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib during this time.

The Chief Minister claimed that as their grandpa, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, had also given his life to defend religion and righteousness, the children of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji received the spirit of sacrifice for the country and faith from their ancestors. The 350th anniversary of his sacrifice is this year. He claimed that the name Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji alone evokes a magnificent soul who connected religion to freedom and rights rather than restricting it to rituals. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji boldly declared that preserving tilak and janeu will necessitate the sacrifice of a great soul during the slaughter of Hindus in Kashmir and attempts to eradicate them with a sword.

According to him, the Haryana government is trying to educate the general public about the gurus’ teachings and values. From Haryana Day (November 1) to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom day (November 25), a number of events were held in Haryana. Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s participation in the state-level ceremony held at Kurukshetra on November 25th, where he paid tribute to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, released a commemorative coin and postage stamp, and unveiled a coffee table book based on the Guru’s life to spread his teachings, was a source of pride, he said.
