CM Nayab Saini praises PM Modi’s visionary reforms, lauds GST, Digital India, and double-engine growth driving Bihar and India toward Viksit Bharat 2047.

“From UPI to DBT, the digital transaction revolution has boosted transparency and reduced corruption under the Digital India campaign,” he said. India’s digital infrastructure has evolved into a global model today. India has become a powerful hub in the global supply chain, boosted manufacturing and production, and decreased reliance on imports under the prime minister’s direction. India has become a powerful player in the global economy and is progressing toward self-reliance as a result of the Central Government’s innovative policies and reforms.

He claimed that the amount of money spent on building roads, railroads, airports, and ports has never been higher in the previous eleven years. Industrialists are saving money on trade and logistics thanks to this great connectivity. Processes have been streamlined, superfluous rules have been removed, and attempts have been made to rid the system of the license raj in order to facilitate commercial dealings. India’s GDP is now the fifth largest in the world and is quickly approaching that of the third-largest economic superpower. This demonstrates the faith of business owners and our combined efforts.

“Viksit Bharat-2047” is the target that the Prime Minister has set us,” the Chief Minister stated. We need to build our states in order to accomplish this. Bihar and Haryana must cooperate if the country is to advance more quickly.

“Coming here today, I am witnessing a wonderful confluence of Haryana’s entrepreneurial spirit and Bihar’s soil,” he remarked. The advancement of our country and the determination of “Viksit Bharat” are aptly symbolized by this convergence. He claimed that there are no geographical restrictions on the interaction between Bihar and Haryana. The connection is one of trust, love, and hard work. “I am proud to have worked on the land of Bihar, particularly in places like Sitamarhi and Motihari,” he remarked. He is close to the people of Bihar on an emotional and familial level.

According to Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the double-engine government has allowed the state, which was formerly known as “BIMARU” (backward), to become the second fastest-growing state in the nation. Bihar’s GDP is growing at a rate of more than 14% at the moment. The sole reason Bihar’s per capita income has more than doubled to Rs 66,828 from just Rs 7,914 per year in 2004–05 is due to the government’s visionary initiatives.

Bihar’s economy has undergone a historic shift for the first time, which is the biggest accomplishment. Agriculture no longer accounts for the same percentage of Bihar’s GDP as the industrial sector, which currently makes up 23%. This indicates that a secure and favorable atmosphere for businesses has been established in Bihar.

Only Rs 2,500 crore worth of investment offers were received between 2016 and 2022, he claimed. Nonetheless, bids totaling over Rs 12,000 crore have been received in the last two years alone, more than five times the previous amount. Today, Bihar is turning into an employment-producing state. There weren’t any startups here in 2005. The government now supports all entrepreneurs, and Bihar is now home to more than 1,500 businesses.

“Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University has been inaugurated to prepare the youth according to industrial needs,” he remarked. It provides young people with education based on industry. In addition, the number of technical seats has expanded to over 14,000 due to the growth of engineering colleges, which saw only three in 2005.

Furthermore, the state has taken the initiative to grant local identity international recognition. A change has been brought about in this direction by the government’s “One District-One Industry” program. The clearest illustration of this is Katihar’s Makhana, which is currently thriving on the international scene. The Central Government has empowered farmers and local industry by announcing the establishment of a Makhana Board to promote it as a “superfood.” Through the establishment of small-scale companies and the promotion of regional goods, he said that the employment generation programs had produced new work prospects.

“Bihar has done record work in developing its infrastructure to attract industries and deliver products to the market,” the chief minister added. Approximately 7,000 kilometers of highways have been built throughout the state. Darbhanga and Purnia have opened their airports, and Patna has begun to have metro service.

“Bihar is not just walking on the path of development, but it is running on the highway of progress,” he remarked. A number of policy changes have been made in an effort to gain the confidence of investors. The 2025 Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package is a landmark initiative. The government has chosen to give investors land for free. Furthermore, there are previously unheard-of incentives being offered, including a Rs 40 crore interest subsidy and a 14-year, 300 percent SGST rebate. A new financial hub based on Gujarat’s GIFT City, known as Fintech City, is set to be developed in Patna, close to Fatuha.

The state administration wants to generate one crore jobs over the next five years, according to the chief minister. Additionally, qualified firms would get a monthly support payment of Rs 5,000 per worker. A new 2022 policy has been put into place to give the leather and textile industries further advantages. In terms of silk fabric production and exports, the Bhagalpur cluster currently holds the second position in the nation. Major corporations like Tata and PepsiCo have invested in Bihar, ushering in a new era. And this is only the start. Our ultimate objective is to turn Bihar’s economy into a trillion-dollar one by 2047.
