Cabinet Secretariat team visits Haryana Right to Service Commission, lauds digital reforms like Auto-Appeal System ensuring timely public service delivery.

A group from the Cabinet Secretariat went to the Haryana Right to Service Commission in Chandigarh. The group included Sh. Keshav Kumar Pathak, the Special Secretary for the Cabinet Secretariat; Sh. Saurabh Kumar Tiwari, the Additional Secretary; Sh. Anshuman Kamila, the Deputy Director; and Sh. Bhuvnendra Singh, the Under Secretary for the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. Senior officers and Chief Commissioner Sh. T.C. Gupta of the Haryana Right to Service Commission greeted the delegation.

The Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014, which aims to make government more open and efficient, cut down on compliance costs, and make rules easier for citizens to understand, was the main topic of conversation during the visit. The goal of these programs is to make administrative tasks easier and more efficient, which will ensure that public services are delivered on time, clearly, and effectively.

Sh. T.C. Gupta, the Chief Commissioner, presented a full presentation on how the Commission works, its legislative framework, how to file a complaint, and digital projects including the AAS Dashboard, the online tracking system, and the Auto-Appeal System. He noted that the Auto-Appeal System makes sure that public services that have been announced are delivered on schedule. If a service isn’t given on time, the system immediately submits an appeal for the applicant. The goal of this program is to make sure that services are delivered on time and in a clear way, especially for people who can’t attend to government offices more than once. It’s important to note that Sh. Manohar Lal, who was the Chief Minister at the time, started this system in 2021. He went on to say that the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014, has so far announced 809 services that are focused on citizens.

The delegation praised the Act’s successful implementation in Haryana, the Commission’s digital projects, and its new ways of doing things, saying that the model should be followed by other states.
