Health Minister Arti Singh Rao announces free surgical camps across Haryana, benefiting underprivileged patients with major and minor procedures.

Ms. Arti Singh Rao, the health minister for Haryana, declared that poverty will no longer be a barrier to receiving medical care. From November 17 to November 22, 2025, unique surgical camps were held in every region of the state for the benefit of the public, with the goal of giving the underprivileged access to cutting-edge medical care without regard to their financial situation.

The state’s specialist doctors conducted 3,939 operations over the week-long camps, including 3,114 major and 825 minor procedures, according to the health minister.

According to her, the main surgeries carried out during the camps included 1,241 cataract surgeries, 503 caesarean sections, 366 female tubectomy surgeries, 130 laparoscopic gall bladder surgeries, 92 ear surgeries, 88 hernia surgeries, 25 knee replacement (TKR) surgeries, and 11 hip replacement (THR) surgeries.

She added that during the special camps, patients received financial support through a number of public welfare programs. The “Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana” provided benefits to 2,074 patients, while the “Chirayu Scheme” treated 661 people.

The state administration is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare for all citizens, according to Health Minister Ms. Arti Singh Rao. These specific surgical camps demonstrate that the right to treatment will not be impeded by financial circumstances. The administration is inspired to improve healthcare services in the future by the success of these camps.

Additionally, the Health Minister expressed gratitude to the district administration, physicians, and healthcare professionals for their hard work and collaboration.
