Haryana Minister Anil Vij emphasizes the sacredness of Vande Mataram and criticizes Congress for cutting parts of the national song.

“Vande Mataram” has a strong emotional connection for millions of people, and millions have given their lives while shouting it, according to Aryana Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij. He said that “we too are the people of this nation” and that the Indian people had battled for the country’s freedom.

Vij was speaking in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha’s Winter Session , which is currently debating the national song “Vande Mataram.”

Vij attacked the opposition, claiming that “Vande Mataram” never received the recognition it was due. He claimed that while no one has ever changed the Gita, Ramayana, or Quran, the Congress “cut off two parts” of “Vande Mataram” at Jinnah’s demand.

He said that “we salute Vande Mataram, bow before it, and offer flowers to it,” but he claimed that by misrepresenting “Vande Mataram,” the opposition (Congress) created the basis for national division since they bowed before a small number of people. He added that the sacredness of “Vande Mataram” was violated and that, although some points of view may have their own place, they shouldn’t have been associated with “Vande Mataram,” taking a jab at the opposition.
