Haryana’s Ambala–Shamli Expressway, Ambala Ring Road, and Ambala–Mohali Expressway to be completed by Dec 2026, easing traffic & connectivity.

The 121-kilometer Ambala–Shamli Expressway is being built quickly and would be finished by December 2026, according to Haryana Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister Anil Vij. According to him, an expressway is being constructed from Ambala to Shamli, and it would be connected to the Dehradun–Delhi Expressway from Shamli to Delhi. Additionally, he reported that the Ambala–Mohali Expressway’s construction is moving quickly and will soon be finished. Traveling to Chandigarh, Mohali, and other cities will be considerably simpler once it is finished.

The project to link Ambala Cantonment with the Panchkula–Saharanpur Highway was also discussed by the Minister, who instructed the concerned officers to create a plan for it.

In order to benefit the public, Vij gave the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) personnel instructions today to finish the ongoing national highway construction in Ambala as soon as possible. Notably, the Ambala Ring Road and Ambala–Shamli Expressway projects are expected to be finished by December of this year. Minister Vij met with NHAI staff at his home today to make sure these projects are finished on schedule.

Vij ordered the building of the Ambala Ring Road to be finished as quickly as possible so that drivers from Ambala and other states might benefit, while discussing with P. K. Sinha, the Ambala Project Director, NHAI, and other officers. According to him, after the ring road is finished, cars from neighboring states will be able to avoid Ambala without entering the city, which will ease traffic in cities. He also talked about the ring road’s water drainage concerns in Shahpur and Bara villages as well as the provision of access points for the people living in Sepahra village.

The ring road’s development would be finished by December 2026, the project director told the minister.

Vij also talked to NHAI officials about building a new service lane on the railway overbridge on GT Road. According to him, the underpass beneath the railway overbridge that originates from the railway colony should likewise be constructed in accordance with standards for the benefit of the local population. According to officers, the service lane would be finished by June 2026 and is being built at a cost of about Rs. 30 crore.
