CM Nayab Singh ensures MSP for all crops, orders strict action against fraudulent procurement, and directs technical monitoring via “Meri Fasal Mera Byora”.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the state government is totally dedicated to buying every grain of farmers’ output at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), taking a strong stance against anomalies in the agricultural procurement system. Under no circumstances can fraudulent procurement be accepted, he made it clear.

Saini was in charge of a high-level conference with the goal of improving the effectiveness and transparency of the crop procurement system. Also attending the meeting were Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Sh Rajesh Nagar and Minister of Urban Local Bodies Sh Vipul Goyal.

The Nayab Singh said that in order to ensure that farmers’ output is bought at MSP without any problems, regular and efficient field-level monitoring must be ensured throughout the upcoming procurement season. He gave strong orders to personnel of the relevant procurement organizations. He ordered that the procurement anomalies that had previously been found not to happen again. He went on to say that any official or employee found to have engaged in fraudulent procurement should face prompt and severe disciplinary action, making it abundantly evident that misconduct will not be accepted at any level.

Additionally, the  Nayab Singh ordered that severe penalties and strong action be taken against any sheller or commission agent found to be implicated in collusion or other major irregularities. He stated that only shellers should be inspected by the relevant department’s committee; no officer or employee should perform inspections on their own. Immediate disciplinary action should be taken for any violation of this directive.

In order to reduce the likelihood of abnormalities at any point, he additionally directed that end-to-end technical monitoring of crops—from farmers’ fields to mandis and from mandis to shellers—be ensured through the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal.

The Chief Minister stated that as all 24 crops are purchased at the state’s MSP, it is necessary to update the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal with accurate agricultural statistics. In order to get thorough data on the area being farmed for each crop, Gram Sachivs, patwaris, and block-level officers should be called upon. Additionally, coordination with the reports from the Haryana Space Applications Centre, or HARSEC, should be guaranteed. He recommended enlisting the help of the state’s horticultural and agricultural universities to offer professional assistance in this process.

To guarantee farmers have no trouble selling their goods at mandis, the department is utilizing cutting-edge technology to make particular arrangements for the forthcoming Kharif procurement season, the meeting was informed. In order to deploy these technologies effectively, officers and staff from all relevant departments will also get division-level training.
