Gandhidham, Gujarat: According to AAP leader Gopal Italia, former Kutch district president Dr. Kainat Ansari has been arrested following her daring public raid on an illegal liquor den in Gandhidham. The operation, part of the AAP Gujarat Liquor Raid initiative, exposed liquor sales that authorities had reportedly failed to curb.

Gopal Italia condemned the arrest, stating, “Instead of honoring Dr. Ansari for her courageous efforts, the government has filed a fabricated complaint against her. Through the AAP Gujarat Liquor Raid, she accomplished what the state administration could not.”

The arrest has ignited widespread criticism, particularly because the action came just after Women’s Day, highlighting the irony of punishing a fearless woman for acting in public interest. Italia emphasized that the AAP Gujarat Liquor Raid not only unveiled illegal activities but also sent a strong message about civic accountability and the party’s commitment to eradicating unlawful liquor operations.

Supporters have rallied behind Dr. Ansari, arguing that the AAP Gujarat Liquor Raid reflects the party’s zero-tolerance policy toward illegal liquor, emphasizing that such civic activism must be supported rather than criminalized.

Gopal Italia’s statement has intensified calls for authorities to recognize the importance of proactive citizens in combating unlawful activities and to stop penalizing those who lead such initiatives.
