Isudan Gadhvi strongly criticized the BJP government after his release, following the Isudan Gadhvi arrest in Gujarat. The Aam Aadmi Party leader alleged that his detention was politically motivated and aimed at intimidating party workers.
Speaking to the media after his release, Gadhvi said that he had gone to present a representation regarding the arrest of AAP workers when the police detained him instead.
“We Were Arrested While Recording Police Actions”
Highlighting the circumstances of the Isudan Gadhvi arrest, he stated that the police objected to them recording videos during the interaction. According to him, this led to their sudden detention.
“We had gone to submit a representation regarding our workers’ arrest, but instead, we were arrested. We were recording the police, and that became the reason for our detention,” Gadhvi said.
Allegations Against BJP Government
The Isudan Gadhvi arrest has triggered a political debate, with the AAP leader accusing the BJP of targeting opposition voices. He claimed that the ruling party is trying to instill fear among AAP workers through arrests and legal action.
“BJP is scared of AAP workers. They are trying to threaten us with jail, but we are not afraid. The people of Gujarat are with us,” Gadhvi asserted.
Claims of False FIRs and Political Pressure
Gadhvi further alleged that several AAP workers have been booked under false FIRs across multiple locations in a similar pattern. Referring again to the Isudan Gadhvi arrest, he said that such actions reflect misuse of power.

He added that police often act under instructions from higher authorities and that such incidents would not be tolerated by the public.
Public Support and Political Message
The Isudan Gadhvi arrest also saw a strong public response, with Gadhvi claiming that large numbers of supporters gathered to show solidarity. He emphasized that AAP will continue to raise its voice for the people of Gujarat.
“We are fighting for the जनता (people) of Gujarat and will continue to do so. Such actions will only strengthen our resolve,” he said.
AAP’s Stand Going Forward
The Isudan Gadhvi arrest has now become a major political talking point in Gujarat, with AAP positioning it as an example of alleged suppression of democratic rights. The party reiterated that presenting grievances is a fundamental right and vowed to continue its political fight against what it called injustice.
