New Delhi :  Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Gopal Rai has criticized the Central Government’s response to recent controversies surrounding national-level examinations, arguing that replacing officials is not enough to address concerns over alleged irregularities in the education system.

In a statement shared on Monday, Rai said that the government was attempting to shift responsibility by removing top officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) instead of holding the Union Education Minister accountable for what he described as recurring problems in major examinations.

Commenting on recent developments, Rai claimed that students and parents across the country have been affected by alleged mismanagement and irregularities in examinations such as NEET, CBSE, SSC, and CUET.

Using the issue to question the government’s handling of the education sector, Rai said that administrative reshuffles would not resolve concerns regarding examination processes. According to him, accountability must extend to the highest levels of decision-making.

The AAP leader argued that the public is seeking answers regarding repeated controversies linked to national entrance and recruitment examinations and called for greater transparency in the functioning of educational institutions.

Opposition Raises Concerns Over Examination Management

The remarks come amid continued political debate over the conduct of competitive and board examinations in India. Opposition leaders have repeatedly demanded stronger safeguards, improved transparency, and reforms to ensure fairness and efficiency in examination systems.

Rai maintained that confidence in the education system can only be restored through meaningful accountability and institutional reforms. He alleged that responsibility for recurring issues should not be limited to officials alone.

Call for Transparency and Reform

The AAP leader said that students deserve a reliable and transparent examination system that protects their interests and future opportunities. He urged the government to take comprehensive steps to address concerns related to exam administration and governance.

Rai reiterated that the focus should remain on strengthening educational institutions and ensuring that examination processes are conducted fairly and efficiently.
