AAP leaders and workers stage dharna in Surat, demanding the city mayor take immediate action to save a government school and ensure quality education.

Surat, Gujarat: In a strong demonstration of their commitment to public education, leaders and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a dharna outside the Muglisara office in Surat, demanding urgent intervention to save a government school.

The protest, which saw AAP members sitting peacefully in a symbolic “Dandawat,” was organized to draw attention to the critical state of the school, which is facing challenges in infrastructure and administrative support. Party leaders emphasized that the children’s future should not be compromised due to bureaucratic delays or neglect.

Addressing the media, AAP representatives said, “Our education-loving leaders and workers are committed to ensuring quality education for every child. We are urging the Surat City Mayor to take immediate steps to protect this government school and provide students with a safe and conducive learning environment.”

The dharna highlighted the party’s focus on grassroots education initiatives and its determination to hold authorities accountable for the welfare of public schools. AAP workers stressed that such actions are necessary to safeguard the rights of students and ensure the government fulfills its responsibility toward education.
