Delhi : Delhi experienced a horrific incident on 18 March 2026, when a massive fire in Palam claimed the lives of 9 people. According to reports, the government announced that the SDM had initiated an investigation into the Palam Fire Tragedy, but no significant findings have emerged so far.
Saurabh Bhardwaj, Delhi State Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), criticized the handling of the tragedy, highlighting that Chief Minister and Minister Ashish Sood appeared to have appointed themselves as investigating officers, prematurely sharing findings with the public.
