BJP and AAP step up campaigns ahead of Delhi MCD by-elections on Nov 30, with rallies, RWA meetings, and door-to-door outreach in 12 wards.

Delhi MCD :  Political parties stepped up their campaigns on the last Sunday before the November 30 by-elections, including bike rallies, RWA meetings, door-to-door outreach, and several public events, with only a few days remaining for voting in 12 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. To win over voters, senior officials, including Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, MPs, ministers, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Durgesh Pathak, traveled throughout the wards. The Aam Aadmi Party emphasized civic complaints and urged citizens to elect council members who deal with local problems, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emphasized its governance initiatives.

According to the Delhi BJP, its representatives spoke at 50 corner meetings and public events. In addition to speaking to RWA leaders in Greater Kailash and interacting with Vinod Nagar residents, CM Gupta conducted organizational meetings in Ashok Vihar and Dwarka B. BJP’s internal analysis revealed the party was winning 11 of the 12 wards, according to party president Virendra Sachdeva. “One of the main reasons for this is our organizational strength, which can identify its voters and encourage them to cast their ballots,” he stated.

CM Gupta and New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj visited with electors in Greater Kailash Ward at 1:30 p.m. Gupta later ran a campaign in Sangam Vihar A and Naraina, urging people to “join the triple engine government” in order to address the problems with sanitation and water supply.

Speaking at three public gatherings, MP Manoj Tiwari stated that the Purvanchal population was vital to Delhi’s economy. The development of the colonies where Purvanchal inhabitants live is one way that the BJP will directly benefit from this position, which it recognizes as being important. We recently fulfilled the Chhath Puja resolution on the Yamuna’s banks,” he stated.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi unit, told locals during a campaign for Eeshna Gupta, the party’s candidate for Greater Kailash 1, that they “deserve a representative who listens to people, stands with them, and acts on their concerns instead of hiding behind political slogans.” “You all don’t want a 400-bed hospital to be built in GK1, but this hospital is being built,” he continued, criticizing local infrastructure plans. Your MCD and your government are not paying attention. You should at least listen to yourself if no one else does.

At a bike rally in Ward 139, AAP’s MCD incharge Durgesh Pathak declared, “For the past year, Delhiites have been troubled by BJP-ruled MCD, no one listens to them.” People think that their opinions would be heard and they will be treated with respect if the AAP candidate wins.

Devender Yadav, meanwhile, claimed “vote theft” in Ashok Vihar Ward, pointing to inconsistencies in the voter list. “The same individual’s photo from Ward No. 65, Ashok Vihar Ward, has been displayed 91 times in Booth No. 13, Wazirpur Industrial Area,” he stated, calling for an immediate fix.

On November 30, by-elections will take place in Shalimar Bagh-B, Greater Kailash, Ashok Vihar, Chandni Chowk, Chandni Mahal, Dwarka-B, Dichaon Kalan, Naraina, Sangam Vihar-A, Dakshin Puri, Mundka, and Vinod Nagar. The results will be counted on December 3.
