Delhi –  AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj has raised concerns over the recently announced Delhi Green Budget 2026, challenging claims that 21% of the budget is allocated for “Clean Air” initiatives. According to Bhardwaj, the newspaper headlines promoting the budget appear to have been published without proper scrutiny, reflecting the narrative pushed by the BJP government.

In his statement, Bhardwaj said, “The so-called 21% allocation for Clean Air in the Delhi Green Budget 2026 is misleading. Almost all sectors have received similar allocations as the previous year’s budget. The question is, where is the promised 21% for clean air?”

The MLA emphasized that the Delhi Green Budget 2026 must be transparent and backed by actual figures, as citizens need clarity on how funds are being utilized to improve air quality in the capital. Bhardwaj urged the government to provide detailed documentation on allocations and implement real measures to address Delhi’s severe pollution problem.

Experts and environmentalists have also questioned the claims in the Delhi Green Budget 2026, pointing out that incremental allocations in various sectors do not necessarily reflect substantial investment in air quality improvement. Bhardwaj’s intervention aims to hold the government accountable and ensure that the Delhi Green Budget 2026 genuinely addresses citizens’ environmental concerns.

By highlighting these discrepancies, Saurabh Bhardwaj reinforces AAP’s commitment to transparency, citizen welfare, and effective environmental governance, demanding concrete action rather than just headlines in the Delhi Green Budget 2026.
