Delhi AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj reacted sharply to the BJP government’s plan to open premium liquor showrooms across the city, including in metro stations and shopping malls.

In a tweet, Bhardwaj sarcastically referred to the BJP as the “Sanatani Government” and warned that opening liquor outlets in such public spaces could create unnecessary trouble for citizens. He highlighted concerns over easy accessibility and the social impact of promoting alcohol consumption near crowded areas.

The BJP government, meanwhile, has defended the initiative, stating that these showrooms will provide convenient access for residents seeking premium liquor and are part of a broader plan to boost revenue from state-controlled alcohol sales.
