New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP Delhi) has raised serious concerns over a series of violent attacks targeting its leaders in the national capital. According to party sources, two incidents have occurred this week alone, both involving assaults on women leaders affiliated with AAP Delhi.

In one case, Inderpuri Councillor Ms. Jyoti Gautam was attacked, while in a separate incident, party worker Sakshi also became a victim of violence. Reports allege that in the attack on Sakshi, a BJP MLA from Rajender Nagar is implicated, highlighting the political dimensions of these attacks.

AAP Delhi Accuses Delhi Police of Bias, Demands Immediate Action on Attacks Against Party Leaders

AAP Delhi leaders have accused the Delhi Police of biased conduct, claiming that FIRs have not been registered in these cases and that the administration is failing to provide protection to party members exposing political violence. Party spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj urged the authorities to take immediate action, stating, “The Delhi Police is acting with bias and illegally protecting BJP leaders by not registering FIRs. Such inaction encourages lawlessness and puts AAP Delhi leaders at risk.”

The AAP Delhi leadership has called on the Delhi Police Commissioner and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to take cognisance of the attacks and ensure swift justice. The party emphasized that these incidents are not isolated but part of a larger pattern of harassment and intimidation against its members.
