IndiGo will start daily Purnia to Delhi flights from October 26. Bookings are open with strong demand from Bihar and nearby areas.

Purnia To Delhi Flights :  With additional flight routes and rising passenger volume, Purnia Airport is still expanding quickly, just 19 days after opening. Beginning on October 26, 2025, IndiGo Airlines will operate a direct daily service between Purnia and New Delhi.

Since the airport’s opening, there has been a steady increase in demand for a direct route to the nation’s capital. In an effort to improve air connectivity between Purnia and Delhi, locals, political figures, and members of civil society had aggressively petitioned the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, and the Union Civil Aviation Minister.

The airline will provide daily service between the two cities using a 186-seater aircraft.

The flight from Delhi is scheduled to depart at 10:45 AM and arrive in Purnia at 12:50 PM, according to D.K. Gupta, director of Purnia Airport. At 1:50 PM, the return flight will depart Purnia and arrive in Delhi at 3:55 PM. The fare from Purnia to Delhi is approximately Rs 5,000, and the initial fare from Purnia to Delhi is Rs 6,300. He added that permission had been given to start flying from Purnia to Delhi, confirming the development.

Growing Connectivity and Demand

Since its opening a little more than two weeks ago, the airport has grown to be an essential center for the Seemanchal region. IndiGo and Star Air now operate daily flights to Kolkata, and starting on October 15, it will offer four weekly flights to Ahmedabad, which will eventually become daily.

Strong passenger demand is indicated by airlines reporting over 90% seat occupancy on all flights from Purnia. In fact, Star Air had to use a larger 88-seater plane to handle the extra demand during the recent festival rush.
