West Bengal Government Welfare Schemes 2026: West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari chaired an administrative review meeting in Kalyani on Tuesday, bringing together officials and representatives from North 24 Parganas, Nadia, and Hooghly districts. The meeting also witnessed the participation of Trinamool Congress MLAs and MPs, marking a notable administrative and political development.
During the meeting, several decisions were taken focused on strengthening governance and expanding social support under the West Bengal government welfare schemes 2026.
Public Welfare Camps Across the State
The Chief Minister announced that public welfare camps will be organised on June 15, 16, and 17 across West Bengal. These camps will help citizens access benefits under both Central and state schemes.
The initiative is part of the broader West Bengal government welfare schemes 2026, aimed at ensuring faster delivery of pending benefits and improving outreach in rural and urban areas.
Annapurna Yojana to Expand Social Support
A key announcement under the West Bengal government welfare schemes 2026 was the rollout of the proposed Annapurna Yojana. Application forms for the scheme will be released on May 27 from Nabanna.
The Chief Minister stated that eligible beneficiaries will be able to apply and begin receiving financial assistance of Rs 3,000 after the application process starts. He also clarified that existing schemes like Lakshmir Bhandar will continue alongside the new initiative.
Continuation of Existing Welfare Programs
The government confirmed that major ongoing schemes, including Lakshmir Bhandar, will continue without disruption. The Swasthya Sathi scheme will also remain operational until it is integrated with Ayushman Bharat.

Affordable Food Scheme at Rs 5
